Email configuration for Windows devices
Step-by-step Instructions to configure default mail app on Windows devices for your email.

To set up your email (ex. info@yourdomain.com) on Outlook, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Outlook
1. Open Microsoft Outlook on your computer.
2. Go to the "File" tab located at the top-left corner.
3. Select "Add Account" to begin the setup process.
Step 2: Enter Email Address
1. In the "Email Address" field, type full email address (ex. info@yourdomain.com).
2. Click "Advanced Options" and select "Let me set up my account manually".
3. Click "Connect".
Step 3: Choose Account Type
1. Select "IMAP" as the account type.
Step 4: IMAP Account Settings
1. In the Incoming Mail (IMAP) Settings, enter the following:
2. In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Settings, enter the following:
- Server: mail.yourdomain.com (ex. mail.pixxelon.com).
- Port: Choose either:
- 465 for SSL
- 587 for STARTTLS
- 465 for SSL
- Encryption: Select either SSL or STARTTLS, depending on the port chosen.
- Username: Your full email address (ex. info@yourdomain.com)
- Password: Your email password
Step 5: Authentication
1. Ensure "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" is unchecked.
2. Click "Next".
Step 6: Enter Your Password
1. When prompted, enter the password for your email.
2. Click "Connect".
Step 7: Complete the Setup
1. Once Outlook has tested the settings and confirmed that everything is working, click "Finish".
2. Outlook will begin synchronizing your emails.
Troubleshooting Tips:
- Ensure that the correct ports are used:
- IMAP: Port 993 with SSL/TLS
- SMTP: Port 465 for SSL or 587 for STARTTLS
- IMAP: Port 993 with SSL/TLS
- If you encounter issues, double-check that your email address and password are entered correctly for both incoming and outgoing mail servers.
- Ensure you replaced mail.yourdomain.com with your domain (ex. mail.pixxelon.com).
